Mindful Baking Cake Orders
Dear Customers: As of February 20, 2025, we have transitioned to an online ordering system. This change allows us to manage orders more efficiently, communicate with you more easily, and maintain the highest quality standards for our flavors by ensuring each one is crafted to its intended design. Thank you for your understanding and support—we look forward to creating a delicious cake for you!
We require at least 3 days' notice for all cake orders. We require 7 days' notice for cakes with elaborate decorations and for all sugar-free cakes. There will be a $25 charge for rush or last-minute orders.
Listed prices are for our standard offerings with no variations. For any custom decoration requests, an extra deposit must be made when placing your online order ($20 - $50 depending on the cake size). Depending on your requests, additional fees may apply (see below). PLEASE NOTE: Custom orders are not finalized until full payment has been made.
For custom decoration requests, please provide as much detail as possible regarding the colors and decorations you are interested in. Please note, that while we will always try our best to accommodate, elaborate decoration requests are tentative pending review by our team, and extra fees may apply. We'll be in touch to complete your order and will offer alternative suggestions as needed. Please email diane@mindfulbaking.net if you have pictures you'd like us to reference or include.
Our cakes are always both vegan and gluten-free). Include any requests to accommodate other food allergies or restrictions (nuts, coconut, etc.)
Pick-ups can be scheduled at Mindful Baking Cafe (1942 W Montrose Avenue) between 12 pm and 4 pm on Tuesday or Thursday - Sunday. We are closed on Mondays and Wednesdays. Please email diane@mindfulbaking.net if you'd like to arrange a special pick-up at our wholesale location on Monday or Wednesday.
A gentle reminder: Once a cake has been picked up by you or a designated party it is considered "Accepted". All products are the responsibility of the customer once they leave our shop. PLEASE READ THE FULL FINE PRINT BELOW before placing your order.
At this time we are only able to offer deliveries for orders of $300 or more. If you are placing a $300+ order, please email diane@mindfulbaking.net for more details on arranging delivery. We appreciate your understanding and hope to expand our delivery options in the future.

Payment is required when placing an order, including the base price plus a deposit for any custom decorations, if applicable. Your order is not complete until full payment has been made and cleared. Once your order has been confirmed, there will be no changes. So be sure to include as much detail as possible. Deposit refunds will not be made for cancellations of any kind, but will be applied to your order as a credit in the event that a change of date occurs due to a family emergency.
REFUNDS: We promise to do our best to provide the best-tasting & best-looking gluten-free/vegan cakes around. Custom orders are created with love by our talented staff just for you. Please keep in mind that no two pieces of art made by people are ever exactly alike. Due to the handcrafted nature of our products, we are unable to provide full refunds or exchanges of custom cakes in most cases.

Refunds requested due to decorating style, color shade, general decoration design, or minor design discrepancies will not be honored.

In some cases, you may qualify for a partial refund or store credit if the product is brought back to us and the quality of the cake flavor or texture is determined not to meet our standards. Quality determination is solely at the discretion of Mindful Baking.

NOTE: We will NOT negotiate a partial refund if you keep the cake. This is a “take it or leave it” policy.
